words on humanity

My dear Friends, Clients, and Family

For a few months, the word humanity has been in my thoughts. I’m now paying more attention to it and its meaning.

The definition for Humanity is vast but probably the shortest version is from the Latin humanitas for “human nature, kindness.” Kindness!! That word of course sent me to another journey, and I couldn’t separate humanity from kindness; and so, my brain concluded that humanity or kindness is the key to everything. I kept thinking Love would be, but you don’t necessarily have to love something to be kind. If we as people could be kind to other people, nature, environment, animals, etc., none of our problems would prevail or exist. What do you think?

I would love to explore some of your thoughts about it.

You can always email me, and I will respond to you individually.

A nice place to meditate. This fabulous marble and granite church is designed by the famous Swiss architect Mario Botta and is located in Mogno, Ticino

my newsletters

I hope you have subscribed to my newsletters. They are “published” quarterly. I will write about different subjects and would appreciate you letting me know, what interests you so I can include those contents as well. If you don’t have time to read my entire newsletter when emailed, you can always visit my website www.magistudio.me/news and read it there.

You can also follow us on Facebook or Instagram. There, I usually publish weekly pictures of our hikes or quotes of interest. I would love to establish a community there, so feel free to comment on my posts there.

A few of you have asked me about the real estate market in Switzerland. It differs from Region to Region, but I truly like this family-owned Real Estate Firm in Locarno. Yes, we do have the big companies/names here as well, but I prefer the personal attention that Pura Immobiliare at www.puraimmobiliare.ch gives you.

They assist you to buy/sell/lease properties and they also do Property Investments in Switzerland or the US. If you are interested in any of these aspects or investing check them out.

We lease our beautiful flat from Pura Immobiliare. Can you believe the coincidence (or not), they lived many years in Orange County, California.

The world can be small at times.

Giving thanks

Kindness is especially felt during this time of the year. Thanksgiving is here (for the US) and the holidays are around the corner. Out of all the holidays, Thanksgiving was my favorite one.

We don’t celebrate it here, but we do have many beautiful festivities. This year, it will be our second holiday away. At times it feels it was yesterday that Bodhi and I left, and at other times it feels like a long time ago.

The move has come with challenges, but we have learned and received many rewards as well; especially being close to our family again.

family

We celebrated birthdays together and my sister Cris’ 80th .

We had a blast together and family from near and far came to celebrate her. We were close to 35 people and represented 9 nations. Talk about being a diverse family.

Ticino is such a beautiful place

We do miss you all, our work, a great massage, a fabulous adjustment by Dr. Liz and/or Dr. Julio, the familiarity of stores, the language, etc., but we can’t complain.

My virtual BodyTalk practice is growing, thanks to the marketing assistance some of my friends have given me. We are so grateful for it.

Nature is amazing and we fill our cup with hiking. My injured knee is finally doing better so I started cycling again and doing some yoga. In summer we took wonderful cooling plunges in the lake and rivers.

We also had some adventurous friends visit us which made us very happy. Ticino is such a beautiful part of Switzerland and I hope you can visit sometime. Wouldn’t mind being your tour guide.

wish you peace, love and health

I wish you all a beautiful holiday season, peace, love, and health. Let’s all invite more humanity into our hearts and around us. Who knows the changes we might create.

Now you know my motto for 2024. What is yours?

With much gratitude and love,

Marjorie & Bodhi
